What is counseling and what can I expect?
Counseling, also known as psychotherapy, as a systemic process guided by a mental health professional that is used to help others live a healthier and happier life. The process includes evidenced based therapies that address thinking errors and promote the use of healthier habits and skills in a supportive and collaborative way.
You can expect to have conversations with your therapist to that cause you to express your thoughts and feelings, to better understand what is driving your behaviors. At The Healing Place, we utilize real-life assignments to practice outside of the session to ensure effectiveness and mastery.
